G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting
The G20 2nd Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting was held virtually on 15th April 2020. Discussions of the meeting focused on the actions to be undertaken to address the global challenges posed by the COVID-19 outbreak
The finance ministers and bank governors welcomed the action undertaken by the International Monetary Fund (IMF), World Bank Group and other international financial institutions and expressed their support for the implementation of a strong financial response to help countries in need.
One outcome of the meeting was the agreement on suspending debt service payments for the world’s poorest countries.
