CATA and NIPFP host webinar on tax dispute resolution
CATA and India’s National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) hosted a webinar exploring tax dispute resolution in the Commonwealth. The aim of the two-day webinar, which took place from 10th to 11th March, was to discuss major concerns regarding corporate tax disputes, country practices in resolving disputes, and share key learnings.
The event was divided into four sessions, with two sessions discussed each day. On day one of the webinar, the first session focussed on major causes of corporate tax disputes in different countries and session two examined transfer pricing disputes. The second day of the webinar kicked off with a session addressing tax certainty from advance rulings and advance pricing agreements and the final session discussed the mutual agreement procedure process and dispute prevention.
