The OECD released the 2021 edition of its Revenue Statistics in Asia and the Pacific publication on 21st July 2021. The document presents detailed, internationally comparable data on tax revenues for 24 Asian and Pacific economies.

Findings from the report show that tax revenues fell in 2019 in two-thirds of economies across Asia and the Pacific as a result of an economic slowdown prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. The report also includes data on non-tax revenues for 16 economies in Asia and the Pacific and features an item written by the Asian Development Bank discussing emerging fiscal challenges for the Asia-Pacific region in the post-COVID era.
