Much praise for the Ghana Revenue Authority as curtain falls on 38th CATA Conference

The 38th Annual CATA Technical Conference came to a close on 10 November with universal praise from participants for the excellence of the arrangements made by their host, the Ghana Revenue Authority. The Conference, opened in Accra on 6 November by Prof. George Gyan Baffour, Minister of Planning, acting as a special representative of the President of Ghana, was attended by 209 delegates from 19 countries, representatives of 6 international organisations (DfID, GIZ, OECD, ITC, Vienna University Global Tax Policy Centre and the IBFD) and representatives of PwC, Vertex International USA and Techno Brain. The Closing Ceremony was graced by the presence of the Vice President of Ghana, H.E  Dr Mahamoudou Bawumiah.

The theme of the Conference -  "Leveraging Technology to enhance Revenue Administration" - gave rise to very constructive and useful exchanges.
