NTO hosts first webinar in its tax and crime series

The Network of Tax Organisations (NTO) kicked off its tax and crime series by hosting a webinar on the topic of illicit financial flows (IFFs). The event, which took place on the 14th October 2020, was attended by 180 tax officials from 80 different tax administrations. 

During the webinar, the Head of the Italian Mission to CIAT Stefano Gesuelli provided an overview of tax and crime. The Finnish Tax Administration gave a presentation on the Finnish methods for combating economic crime and Kenya Revenue Authority shared Kenya’s experience in identifying and addressing various and new forms of IFFs. 

The next webinar in the series is scheduled to take place in February 2021 and will focus on inter-agency collaboration, combatting tax crimes and exchange of information.
