The Maldives was welcomed back to the Commonwealth on 1st February 2020 following the country’s withdrawal of its membership in 2016. With the re-admission of Maldives, the total number of nations belonging to the Commonwealth is now fifty-four. 

On behalf of the Management Committee of CATA, the Executive Director wishes to congratulate Maldives for becoming a member of the Commonwealth.
