CATA’s Regional Directors and Country correspondents Meeting held at CATA Secretariat, Marlborough House on 22-23 April 2024. The Executive Director was very pleased with the commitment and support expressed by the Regional Directors and Country Correspondents as extended arms of the Secretariat under the Constitution. Roles and responsibilities have been allotted to the Regional Directors and Country Correspondents

17 CATA member countries and three International Organisations were present during the two days meeting.

Countries attended as mentioned below:

Australia, Barbados, Canada, Cyprus, Ghana, Guyana, India, Lesotho, Malawi, Malaysia, Maldives, Mauritius, Nigeria, Rwanda, Uganda, United Kingdom and Zambia

International Organisations attended as mentioned below:

  • Commonwealth Secretariat – Trade, Ocean and Natural Resources Directorate

  • Commonwealth Secretariat – Economic Policy and Small States

  • IBFD

  • NTO Secretariat

  • World Bank

  • IMF (Sent Pre-recorded presentation)

  • ADB (Sent Pre-recorded presentation)

CATA Secretariat had the honour of The Commonwealth Secretary General Rt Hon. Patricia Scotland presence at the Meeting to address the members. This shows her strong support to CATA. Her remarks were exceptionally inspiring and encouraging.
