Five-year anniversary of the Knowledge Sharing Platform for Tax Administrations

The Knowledge Sharing Platform for Tax Administrations (KSPTA) recently celebrated its five-year anniversary as an integrated, online, learning and tax knowledge-sharing tool.  In that time, the KSPTA has experienced exponential growth and currently has over 24,000 registered users representing 209 jurisdictions and 25 international and regional tax organizations.

The KSPTA team at the Canada Revenue Agency continues to enhance the platform in response to worldwide demand for virtual learning opportunities.  Users may access learning resources at anytime free of charge, and register for a virtual class, on any computing device.  For virtual learning options, please browse the selection of eLearning content available to users.

These self-paced eLearning courses and virtual classes allowed the KSPTA to support tax learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Since March 2020, the KSPTA has hosted 55 virtual events with 14,400 participants, represented by 196 countries. During that same period, there were 15,105 course registrations.

The platform also allows users to browse the Event calendar, and access all related materials on the platform.  In addition, the Webinars section offers the flexibility to review taped, expert-led classes at users’ convenience.

On December 2, the KSPTA team was pleased to release a brand new My Learning area. Users can monitor and track their learning, retrieve course certificates, and monitor progress for professional development. A feature known as a learning material history also means users can quickly access the reference material they previously viewed.

To create a KSPTA account, complete this short online form using your work email address.  Once your account has been created, we invite you to explore all that the KSPTA has to offer, and check back regularly to discover what’s new!
