Change of Minister at the Canada Revenue Agency
The Honourable Marie-Claude Bibeau was appointed as Canada’s Minister of National Revenue in July 2023. Minister Bibeau previously served as Minister of Agriculture and Agri-Food, the first woman in Canadian history to be appointed in this role. As Minister of International Development, she led in the adoption of Canada’s Feminist International Assistance Policy. Prior to joining the public service, Minister Bibeau was a successful businesswoman and community organizer. Former Revenue Minister Diane Lebouthillier was appointed Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard.
Canada Revenue Agency Commissioner to co-chair the Forum on Tax Administration Plenary in October
The 16th Plenary meeting of the Forum on Tax Administration (FTA) will be held in Singapore October 11-13, 2023. Commissioner Bob Hamilton of the Canada Revenue Agency who was appointed Chair of the FTA in August 2020 will be co-chairing the meeting.
