CATA’s 40th Technical Conference took place in Penang, Malaysia from 11th to 14th November 2019. The conference, which was opened by the Finance Minister of Malaysia The Honourable Mr Lim Guan Eng, was attended by 134 delegates from 22 member countries, other tax administrations, international tax organisations, research institutions and private enterprises.
Discussions for this year’s conference focused on digitalisation and the shadow economy with conference deliberations structured in plenary sessions and syndicate group discussions.
The CATA Secretariat commends the Inland Revenue Board of Malaysia for organising a successful conference and for the warm hospitality received by all that attended.
